Discovering the Power of Regenerative
Hello Everybody!
In 2020, like many others, I sat on my computer daily trying to wait out the storm of COVID when I stumbled across a 3-day workshop about Regenerative Agriculture. For years prior, I had been searching for my “next big thing”. Through that workshop, I discovered a sense of hope for the future I thought had been long extinguished. Discovering that simply practicing the 6 principles of soil health and managing our limited water supply could have such far reaching implications as reversing climate change, limiting harmful chemicals being introduced to the environment, cleaning our waterways, abating erosion, reversing ocean acidification, growing produce that is more nutritionally rich and more, sent me down the path that continues to stretch out before me.
After watching that workshop, I got straight to work, first in my own garden and then by developing a Regenerative Community Garden in Pecos, NM. After experiencing the incredible results, I’ve been ever more convinced of the value of regenerating for the future of humanity and every living being living upon our beautiful planet.
Inexplicably, I was drawn to Paonia Colorado to continue to grow this work. My commitment to our Mother Earth grows daily and has expressed itself in many ways. This has led me to accept the gift of a non-profit organization, Round Mountain Institute, from a dear friend, Nancy Wicks. It has grown by leading me to this current property which is perfect to hold immersive experiences for farmers and others who are curious and want to learn more about the benefits of Regenerative Agriculture for their farms and our greater world. Because, one person cannot accomplish what needs to be done, we are joining a worldwide collective of people who feel the hope and are moved to act. My greatest hope is that all who read this will join the movement which holds incredible promise for restoring the health of our planet. Come join us! There is work enough for all of us!!!
